Sadly, summer begins to fade and turn to fall. Despite the lingering hot and humid temperatures here in the mid-Atlantic, change is in the air. I share with you some lingering summer images as we say goodbye to summer.
Photo taken of a statue of St. Michael the Archangel in Milltown cemetery, in West Belfast, Northern Ireland. Milltown is a historic, predominately Irish Catholic cemetery filled with Irish Republican casualties from the “Troubles.”
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God.
Thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
Who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls
